Happy 21st Anniversary to me and DH!

This is actually us!

I can't believe I figured out how to scan in a pic from my wedding album! I can't believe I look EXACTLY the same today! I can't believe that bolt of lightening is already zinging right for my little wrinkly forehead!

I realized at noon that today's my wedding anniversary!

TWENTY-ONE YEARS!

It's a huge old record for me. This is the only thing in my entire life that I've done for 21 years straight. Except maybe breathe.

Usually my mother-in-law calls to remind us. But she'd forgotten. I called Darling Husband (DH) at work. He'd forgotten. The rule is whoever remembers first gets to choose the restaurant. Hmmmm..... I still haven't made my mind up. Sushi or Cajun salmon?

To buy a house in San Diego today, we'd need about $400,000 (www.econbrowser.com)
And when we got married, we needed a little under $150,000 (http://mysite.verizon.net)

At the 60th Annual Academy Awards, best picture went to The Last Emperor.
This year (and at least we're having the Awards), it'll be Atonement or Juno or Michael Clayton or No Country for Old Men or There Will Be Blood.

And a little fun trivia that doesn't fit anywhere in this post, but that I hated to delete:

In 1987, Mr. Potato Head ditched his plastic pipe. (www.associatedcontent.com) And Pictionary was released. (www.forbes.com)

So, Happy 21st Anniversary to me and DH!!

Sushi or Cajun salmon? Cajun salmon or sushi?

And I still LOVE that dress!

  8. Yep Barrie,

You haven't changed a day since you got married - except a different haircut maybe. On the other hand, DH looks more mature :-)

    Happy Happy Anniversary.

  13. Happy Anniversary indeed! My mother-in-law is usually the one to reming me, too. Once I asked my lovely husband of many years what day it was. He said Tuesday. Wrong answer.....

  15. This is quite an accomplishment.
    Congratulations.
I'm certain you look exactly the same - as I do after 32 years of marriage.....
our fist home on Long Island cost $56,000 in 1979.
4 bedrooms, wisteria on a wrap around porch....
I think you would get a broom closet for that now!
