Dinner at My House or DESPERATE CALL FOR EASY RECIPES

It's a crazy, busy time of year. (This is not me. I look more crazed.)

I am seriously over cooking. (This is not me. I look more grumpy.)

I'm headed for too many fast-food dinners. Bad for the health. Bad for the pocketbook.

Anyone interested in participating in a blog round-up where we each post a dinner recipe that's quick to prepare and has a limited number of ingredients? Please, please! (This is not me. I look more desperate.)

Crockpot meals are certainly welcome. But I wouldn't want to limit us to crockpot meals.

I'm more than happy to post the links. Just let me know.

  1. I think this is a great idea. In fact, a friend and I were just discussing having a cooking club (like a book club) where a different person hosted every month and shared an easy, few ingredient recipe. We decided with our schedules, it would be too hard to get together like that, but this... well this could totally work for me. I'd love to participate. Let me know.

  2. Cool idea! In the meantime, here are a couple of my favorite easy recipes:

http://www.food.com/recipe/Crunchy-Baked-Tilapia-128901 (I also add some garlic powder and sprinkle a little dried parsley on top because it's pretty)

http://www.food.com/recipe/yumzetti-johnny-marzetti-162459 (This one was my grandmother's, and I'm the one who posted it. You could probably do it in a crock pot, too.)

  3. I can so very much relate. Nobody likes the same thing at our place either and I'm ready to give up. Christmas Eve is our company night - we're having... PICKERAL and wild rice (with meatballs for the non fish people). Heavy on desserts. Christmas Day - it's been discovered - my kids don't want the same old turkey (!?) so we've decided on steak. Whatever. I'm easy - as long as they're happy, I'm happy. But I could definitely use some teenage-friendly easy to prepare meal ideas.
Good luck with your feast preparations.
