Goodbye 2008!
It's been a great 2008 with my first book, I So Don't Do Mysteries, finding its place on bookshelves. Thank you Random House. I had a wonderful year with the Class of 2k8. My family is happy and healthy and enjoying life.
Yes, I am one of those people who makes New Year's Resolutions. The only one in my little house this year.
Here goes:
1. Take vitamins daily.
2. Exercise 3x weekly.
3. Watch a movie a month. (or more)
4. Return library books on time. (or suffer the consequences*)
5. a resolution to do with stopping to smell the roses and having more fun time with the kids**
*to be determined
** I know this one needs lots of work. But....I'm hoping that as I hop around bloggyville and read everyone else's resolutions, it will all come clear. :)
We wish you and yours a happy and healthy and prosperous New Year!
I'm looking forward to keeping up with you all in 2009!
And a Happy New Year to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy New Year Barrie. Wishing you and your family love, health and happiness for 2009 and for you I wish continued success.

I'm a resolution maker as well. I make personal ones as well as writing/professional ones.
ReplyDeleteHere's a little something that'll brighten your day: the Houston Public Library has I So Don't Do Mysteries on order. Still working on Harris County.
happy new year to you, too, Barrie. 2008 was quite a year! Hope is in the air for 2009!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Barrie! And good luck with your resolutions! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, too, Barrie! (:
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions, and not too unreasonable, though it's sad that stopping to smell the roses is the one that seems most questionable. Come on, Barrie! Sniff 'em up!
ReplyDeleteAlso, can you work out for me, too, because I'm great at taking the vitamins.
Happy New Year!
Happy 2009.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR, Barrie.
ReplyDeleteResolution #2? That's the one that would do me in.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck and Happy New year!
Happy New Year Barrie. I'm glad you had such a brilliant 2008 and I hope 2009 is filled with even more lovely things for you x
ReplyDeletehappy new year to YOU, Barrie!!
ReplyDeleteYour book sounds so fun! Something I would probably like now, but definitely would have loved as a teenager.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I ever actually make that corn dog jello, I will let you know.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will return!
Happy 2008 and those are completely doable! I'll be watching you....so stay on track. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI had to resolve to quit ketchup flavored chips thanks to you!

Happy New Year, Barrie!
ReplyDeleteIt was great getting to know you this past year.
I'm going to steal your resolution about Library fines... I call it my 'tab' when I go to pay. When I walk in the library... all the librarians shout 'Brian!'... just like Norm in Cheers. It's embarassing.
Will have to get your book! Sounds wonderful. And congrats on getting it published and on the shelves.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Good luck with the resolutions. I'm still refining my goals and new schedule. Just added 'Relax' to the weekend mornings. :-)
Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteSome very healthy resolutions there. :)
I ordered a copy of "I so don't do mysteries." Hope it arrives today.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I think it is lovely the way you spent New Year's Eve. Here's to more reading in 2009!
