Shopping for the Father-Daughter Dance

How fun to be eight.
When you buy shoes based on their clicking sound...
(Yay for Child #4 and her personal fashion taste!)
And now for some linky love...
If you are in the mood for fun and laughs, hop over to Ello's blog where her ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS AND BRILLIANT daughter, Summer, who is almost ten years old, interviewed me. She did a great job! My children all read the interview!
And a huge shout-out and thank-you to Mary at Overnight at Thistletonthwaite Castle who posted a lovely lovely review of I So Don't Do Mysteries. She said it even cured her cold!
And another huge shout-out and thank-you to Charles Gramlich at Razored Zen who took a giant step outside his normal reading zone to read and review I So Don't Do Mysteries. Charles, it is much, much appreciated!

I love the shoe photo and the sentiment. Savor it. My daughter, age 11, wants to buy make up and Cosmo Girls.
Fun to have a glimpse of your town below. It looks so warm.
I was just thinking I needed some new dress shoes. I can't wait to see the shoe salesman's face after he asks me what I'm looking for in a shoe -- 'clicking sounds, please.'
I used to love love love the sounds of shoes clicking on the floor. Before. I. Discovered. That.Barefoot. Is. Way. Cooler.
Great interview over at Ello's :-)
ah - how sweet and cute - love the shoes!!!!! Cannot wait to hear about the big event!
Summer is pleased that you are pleased! She is also very impatient for the next book to come out. I guess she is just like me!
This is so sweet. I love the pink insides. And, uh, I still like click-y shoes. Is that wrong?!
Those are lovely shoes! I love the pinkness and clickiness! That is the best way to find shoes :D

Summer is hysterical. Love the interview.
Your book cures colds? Awesome. I'm going to buy every single copy Borders has in stock.
I think I still do the same thing with my shoes!
LOVE the shoes! I hope I can read your book soon. It looks fantastic! My mother works in a middle school library. I need to see if they have this one in there. If not, I'm recommending it!
Next pair of shoes I get I'm getting based on clicking!
Super-cute shoes, super-cute interview!
Hope she never outgrows it - choosing shoes for their clicking noise. :)
Those shoes are adorable. They make me wish I was 8!
I feel like I missed out! I never went to a father-daughter dance with my dad! Hope she has a lovely time (and him too, of course). :)
I'm already thinking about a book for the BRC!
How else but clicking noises (or lack thereof) would one select footwear? I'm confused ;-)
Yes, I greatly enjoyed Summer's review. Good stuff.
And skirts for their swirly factor.
Great interview by Oldest!
buying shoes based on their clicking sound....I love it.
I remember enjoying the sound of my mom's high-heels, and thinking that I would enjoy making that sound some day....
I remember buying shoes based on how much they sounded like tap shoes, which my mother never let me have.
nothing like 'clicky' shoes :D
will check out el's blog asap :)
Aw, eight is such a fun age :) Those shoes look so cute!
I love the father/daughter dance idea. Super wonderful and very cute shoes. The interview was fun too!
make sure she breaks them in first! i'm paranoid about that now. new shoes always kill my feet!
hope they both have a great time!
Clicking sounds! Oh yes! LOL! I always wanted tap shoes, so finding the nearest thing was my favorite desire!
They charge you for internet at the oil change place?? That's criminal! :-)
(I sorta feel like we're having a twitter conversation.)
my daughter is seven and it is SO sweet and fun. i hear ya.
I used to pray for tap shoes when I was little--hadn't thought of that in years!
Summer did a very good interview. Those tap dancing shoes are cute.
Oh! Such sweet shoes. Hope father and daughter enjoyed the click of the heels and had a wonderful time at the dance!
They had a GREAT time. Thanks for asking! (And Child #3 and I had fun renting a PG13 movie. :) )
I still remember the dance I went to with my dad.
noisy shoes are great
