That is so awesome. I almost wish I could write that genre just so I could have a similar moment. Oh well. :)

Wow. Now that's an experience I've never remotely had. I'm a bit jealous. WEll, really jealous.

Barrie, this has to be a dream come true. Did you have Scholastic book orders in Canada? It was always the happiest day of school when you went in and saw the piles on your teacher's desk and knew yours were in there. And now YOURS IS in there! Congratulations--you deserve it! :)

What an utterly satisfying moment.

Our bookfair rolls around in a couple of weeks I will keep my eyes peeled for your books. I think it will be easy to find readers in my school for them.

i see you've already adopted the yankee spelling for 'pyjamas' :P lol

Barrie said...

Laughingwolf, I thought it looked kind of funny. But the red line for misspelled didn't pop up. So, I just thought, well, okay, that must be it. :)

so now i can say i know somebody from the scholastic take-home catalogue (my own claim to fame)

and be proud because it's in there for the book and not the cute gadget that comes with it (or does it come with a cell phone?)

Barrie said...

Gabe: Just the book. No gadgets. ;) ALTHOUGH imagine the sales if it came with a cell phone! :)

Anyway, very funny that you mentioned this because when my kids bring home their scholastic catalogue, I always say to them, "We're here for the books." :)

Barrie said...

Becky, these are available in Canada. One of my sisters is a teacher and will be sending home a catalogue just like this with her students!

The book looks and sounds so awesome. I read the first chapter and had to have it! So I requested it from the library and it should be here by Monday. I'm truly looking forward to reading it :).
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog and saying Hi, I really appreciate that :)
Have a great Sunday!

PS: Love your blogs layout....very creative and colorful. I'm working on improving mine because I hate the way it looks..LOL :)
