I'm Baaaaaccckkk.....
And look at the potato meter on the sidebar. Yes, the little spud has more pages behind him! I'm almost halfway through the second book. And I think the story's coming together nicely. So, yay!
All that writing and I still managed to sign child #4 up for more dance classes. (The world should not be deprived.) Dorothy the Dog is headed for a long overdue grooming tomorrow.
Plus. Plus. Plus. I'm going away this weekend. On my own. So I can accomplish even more writing stuff.
Off to visit you all! Some tonight, but most tomorrow. It's way late.)
Glad to have you back! Good to hear the writing is coming along!
ReplyDeleteHeidi :)

Oh I'm so pleased that "Ms. Potato Head" is getting her fill of words!! Yeah!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd double, no tripe yeah that you are going away on the weekend alone (er..with Ms. Potato Head presumably!!) ... you will love it!!!
Thanks by the way for the comment on yesterday's linky love...I didn't "know" it but your comment about your daughter confirmed it for me...you too know this special kind of love. I embrace you too!!!
...okay so it's early in the a.m., no coffee and I'm rolling with laughter...what a difference between "triple" and "tripe"...I just don't have the stomach for it....OMG...I'm going for the coffee..NOW!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow - that was quite a jump on the potato meter! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the picture!
Yay for more pages done! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for dance class! My daughter did several years of dance class. But she's more of a writer than a dancer.
The Shining is so my favorite all time scary movie.
ReplyDeleteAll work and no play makes Barrie a dull girl.
Wow - I'm impressed with your energy. And your line about "the world shall not be deprived" made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I'm glad to hear the writing is going so well!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Writing is my dream! This year I am planning to write a children's story I have already written in rough draft. I am totally inspired by you! And best wishes!!
ReplyDeleteHi Barrie,
ReplyDeleteI love the picture you have up of Hub Unit doing a little home remodeling. Is that how he got his hernia??? Virginia Woolf would be so proud that not only are you going to get a room of your own, you will have a Weekend Away of your own (with room service I hope.) Have fun. S. Babe
I wish I was going away! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend is relazing and a lot of work is accomplished. Do you have a deadline? That would make me freak.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Heidi: Thanks for stopping by. I've been enjoying your blog!
ReplyDeleteLaura: Thank you for the kudos! And Happy Veggie Tales!
Sherry: Thank you for the embrace. It's been a great experience!
Sherry: Yes, I have been feeding Ms. Potato Head!
Christine M.: I'm not sure we'll do dance class forever and ever. But, for now, it's all that and more!
PJ: I had nightmares from The Shining. Are you into the new book yet?
ReplyDeleteDon Mills Diva: Glad I gave you a giggle. :)
Rebecca: May it keep on flowing...! Do you have any shopping plans...for new tops? Ha!
Lainey-Paney: thank you for the good wishes. I'm hoping for 2 days of decent productivity :)

ReplyDeleteSarkastic: Ms. Potato Head is adorable!!
Eileen: The writing retreat will go swimmingly. Because I'll be on my own. No one to talk to. :)
Bella: I love these weekends away. I think I should schedule them on a regular basis!! :)
Larramie: That's what I'm aiming for: some decent writing and some decent R&R. (Actually, there probably won't be too much in the R&R dept., but just getting away from constant interruptions makes life more relaxing!
ReplyDeleteChristina: Thank you! And good luck to you with your agent search!
Meredith: Awwww...thank you. And you can totally do this! Let me know how it all goes. I'll be back to visit your blog.
Colorado Writer: Ya gotta plan one of these weekends!
Shari: Yes, there are deadlines. Yes, they freak me out too. :)
Santee Babe: Your powers of observation are keen. This photo that so incredibly resembles Jack Nicholson in The Shining is actually my dear spouse post-hernia. Ya just gotta look at it in the right light. (Ha!)
ReplyDeleteAbout the room service? Not happening so much. So, just call my cell and let me know when you'll be delivering dinner!
